POP vs OTC products
I've been talking to a lot of people recently about practitioner only products (POP) vs over the counter (OTC) and what the difference is and why things are considered to be like that.
What's so special about POP?
🌱Safety first => My internal motto with my clients.
🌱Products that are not easily accessible => These are often what I would consider are better taken under practitioner supervision.
🌱You are buying the right product for you => Have you seen the amount of products out there? Guidance from someone with knowledge takes away the confusion.
🌱In depth testing => My suppliers provide products whose companies spend a lot of money on lab tests so they can prove they are what they say they are and that they're free of contaminants.
🌱Low excipients => So you get what you think you're buying without a pile of nasty fillers.
One example are the herbal blends I make for my clients. Safety first as some of these are herbs that may interact with medications or may be contraindicated due to pregnancy, lactation or a medical condition. Some, like poke root, are strictly for a very low dose for a short period of time due to how toxic they are.
