Rose cream

Lotions and creams are actually very simple to make...for one reason or another it's just been a long while since I've done this. This time I used the recipe in Rosemary Gladstar's Herbs for Natural Beauty, Rosemary's Perfect Cream. I used rose hydrosol and a few drops of rose absolut essential oil to give it a subtle rose scent. No nasties in here. I have some out of date goldenseal tincture that I added a couple of drops of as preservative although the recipe says it keeps well for a few months out of the fridge.

Aloe vera and rose hydrosol

Oil and beeswax melted

The water and oil mixtures combined

The finished product
